In the U.K. today is known as Collop Monday, or the day when you fry up the last of your bacon before Lent. Tomorrow, Shrove Tuesday, is otherwise known as Pancake Day, when you use the rendered fat to make flapjacks. The Pancake Appreciation Society (a.k.a Lyle's Golden Syrup) knows the key to promoting mass observance is through the magic of stop-motion animation. [via The Pigmon]
