"Free" as in "free alt-weekly"

Well, you can't say that Creative Loafing never did nothing for you: the most immediate concrete effect on the Reader's content is that our online archive is now free. It looks the same, but it won't ask you for money anymore. Go on, try it.

Over the next n+1 weeks/months/etc., I'll be highlighting some of the Reader's best old articles. First, Bob Mehr's Lisagor-winning profile of south-side soul Svengali Arrow Brown, The Godfather of King Drive, who ran a music label that Mehr calls "Motown meets the Manson Family."
