Gapers Block reports that Toronto-based designer Bruce Mau, who headed up last year's Massive Change exhibit at the MCA, is moving to Chicago--like, personally, with his family--and opening an office here 'cause he likes our "energy and talent pool." The book cover pictured, from Manuel de Landa's A Thousand Years of Nonlinear History, was the work that brought Mau to my attention before I was even particularly interested in design.
