Ben,
I am a friend of Mike Connor and Karen Conner in Michigan City IN. Our city administration has created a TIF district in an unblighted rural area to spur development of low wage low skilled jobs. This is beyond the intent of the TIF programs as you have explained, but I need some more info before I go before the LaPorte County Council this Monday Night. Any chance you can contact me b4hand thanks John

Dear Mr. Joravsky,
I am writing a dissertation on the direction of CTA infrastructure investment and would like to talk to you about my findings. I use your work on the TIF in my urban sociology classes and have had much success in raising student's interest. Thank you for your hard work.

Dear Mr. Joravsky,
I am an intern at the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform (ICPR). ICPR will be researching possible connections between TIF districts, local businesses, and campaign contributions. However, TIFs are a relatively new area of interest for ICPR and TIFs seem to be less transparent than other areas of government. As the foremost expert on Chicago TIF districts, we figured you would be the best individual to contact for help with directing our research efforts because we really don't know where to begin. Thus, we were hoping that we could ask you some questions about researching TIFs. Feel free to contact me at your own convenience by email at mmurray2@illinois.edu or I can be reached at ICPR by calling 312-335-1767. Thank you for your time and assistance with these matters.
Cheers,
Mike Murray
