This annual festival of solo performance, now in its fourth year, features more than 20 pieces by local, national, and international artists. It runs through 8/28 at the Breadline Theatre, 1802 W. Berenice, and Theatre Building Chicago, 1225 W. Belmont. Tickets are $20 per show; $12 for students. Man 1, Bank 0 Patrick Combs’s solo show recounts what happened when he cashed one of those fake checks you get in the mail. Saturday 8/27 Workshop With Omar Sangare Polish writer-performer Sangare, creator of True Theater Critic (see listing for Thu 8/25), focuses on Stanislavsky and Grotowski techniques in this workshop (rescheduled from last week). Workshop With Tanya Krohn Krohn, creator of Puddlejump, offers a workshop on physical techniques in developing solo work.
