Commercial classified ads are for for-profit
businesses such as landlords, real estate agents,
brokers, and other commercial enterprises. Commercial ads can be
placed on our Web site,
by fax, mail, phone, or in person at
our office at 11 E. Illinois, Chicago, IL 60611. Commercial
classifieds must be pre-paid. All Commercial ads are guaranteed Web
and print placement.
Real Estate and Help Wanted commercial ads cost
$31; all other commercial ads cost $28. The price includes up to 25
words in print ($1 per extra word) and an unlimited-word Web ad.
Commercial ads can be placed over the phone; there is a $20 surcharge
per ad. Call 312-828-0350 to place your ad. Classified ads must be
pre-paid. The Classifieds Department is open Monday-Friday,
8:30am-5:30pm, and available by phone on Saturdays, noon-5:30pm.
Private party ads can be placed free
on
our Web site. Private party ads are for individuals not
advertising a commercial concern, and not-for-profit enterprises. All
private party ads have unlimited words on our Web site and 35 words
in print. Print publication of free ads is not guaranteed, but print
guarantee can be purchased for $7 per ad. Private party advertisers
can place an unlimited number of free ads on the Web. Free ads are
not accepted by fax, mail, phone, or in person.
Adult Services ads are for all businesses,
individuals, or groups offering adult-oriented services,
entertainment, or products. We cannot accept ads with graphic photos,
explicit wording, or language that explicitly describes sexual acts.
A State of Illinois Massage license is required for all ads offering
massage services. If you have questions regarding the State of
Illinois licensing process for Massage Therapy, please visit their
Web site at http://www.idfpr.com/dpr/who/masst.asp.
All phone numbers in Adult ads are verified prior
to publication. Verification may delay publication.
Adult Services ads can be mailed, faxed, or
dropped off at our office at 11 E. Illinois Street, Chicago, IL
60611.We are not now able to accept Adult Services ads online. Faxed
ads must include a legible photocopy of a valid Visa, MasterCard,
Discover, or American Express card and a driver’s license or
state ID, and a Reader authorization form. Please call the
Classifieds Department at 312-828-0350 before submitting your ad, and
we will fax you an authorization form. We cannot renew or accept
Adult Services classifieds over the phone; all ads must be submitted
in writing. Deadline for receipt of Adult Services print classifieds
is 5pm Monday, four days prior to publication date.
Adult Services ads can be purchased to run on our
Web site only, with unlimited words and 2 pictures, for $50.
Print and
Web ads running in the Reader only cost $100 for 25 words, $3/word
after.
Print only ads running in the Chicago
Reader cost $50 for 25 words, $3/word after.
Deadline for receipt of commercial ads and free
ads with a print option selected is Monday, 5pm, four days prior to
publication date. Commercial classifieds can be placed as Late Ads
after the 5pm deadline and up until 11am Tuesday, for a $10 charge.
No cancellations or refunds are allowed for ads
that have been posted on our Web site. If your ad has multiple week
runs, additional insertions can be canceled by contacting a
Classifieds Rep. Any changes to your print ad must be made by
contacting a Classifieds Rep by the Monday, 5pm deadline.
Jumbo Bold 13 characters per line, $20 per line
Large Bold 31 characters per line, $17 per line
Plain Text 45 characters per line $14 per line
Each letter, punctuation mark, and space counts as a character. Minimum: 3 lines per ad. Maximum: 10 lines per
ad. Maximum: 3 jumbo lines and 4 large lines. No blank lines are available. No Adult Services, Help Wanted, Business Opportunity
ads will be accepted for Back Page Placement.

Assumed Business Name Legal Notices must run in three consecutive issues. The ad must be published for the first
time within 15 days of the date stamped by the County Commissioner s Office on the legal form. We must have a copy of the original
document in order to publish the notice.
Assumed Business Name Legal Notices cost $100 for the 3-week run. We will mail you a notarized affidavit and a
copy of the ad.
Legal Notices other than Assumed Business Name ads cost 30 cents per word per week (minimum $33 per week). Please
check the legal requirements for your notice prior to running.

are available for Real Estate ads. The icons cost $5 each and appear
