Who visits chicagoreader.com?

As of October, 2006, chicagoreader.com serves more than 1,000,000 page views per week. Every day we have about 50,000 unique daily visitors.

From an online survey of 10,000 visitors to the site in June of 2006, we found:

• Median age = 30
• 50% male, 50% female
• 74% live in Chicago
• 17% live elsewhere in Illinois (mostly in the Chicago suburbs)
• 50% visit chicagoreader.com 1-2 times per week
• 19.4% visit chicagoreader.com 3-4 times per week
• 16% visit chicagoreader.com 5 or more times per week
• Approximately 25% of chicagoreader.com users who live in Chicago do not pick up the print Reader. Three-quarters use both the print and online Readers.
