1,000 Words: Our Annual Photo Issue

Welcome to the Reader’s second annual 1,000 Words issue. To select the photos in this year’s edition, we held a contest; readers could enter either by submitting photos to us directly or by placing them in the Chicago Reader Flickr pool. Two of the photographers whose work we’re publishing here will win $150 Best Buy gift cards in a drawing after the holidays.
