The best thing I can say about this sleep-inducing kiddie comedy is that the need to bring in a PG rating must have precluded the endless series of giant-turd gags promised by the title. Kevin James is the zookeeper in question, who discovers that his animal charges not only speak with the voices of aging movie stars (Nick Nolte as a gorilla, Sylvester Stallone as a lion, Cher as a lioness) but possess a vast repertoire of middle-school catchphrases. The human characters seem inarticulate by comparison; the only adjectives they can ever come up with are
amazing and
incredible. Frank Coraci (
The Wedding Singer) directed; with Rosario Dawson, Leslie Bibb, Ken Jeong, Donnie Wahlberg, and Joe Rogan.
