Bar Details

Aside from offering an expertly prepared gin rickey, sidecar, and old-fashioned, this joint is arguably the most tolerable locale with a shuffleboard table in the city. Located off the Logan Square beaten path of cool, the dimly lit, rarely too crowded, never too loud bar hangs its hat on the classic cocktails, but there's always a handful of regional brews on tap. And though it may not have the same bottle selection as Small Bar or the Map Room, it's no less carefully curated. There has been a gripe or two about the bartenders being impatient and judgmental, but craft cocktails require more attention than the customers and I'm OK with that. A back patio and photo booth are added amenities. —Kevin Warwick
