Christmas has never been more sexy than in Vaudezilla's holiday burlesque show. The troupe's variety of performance styles and body types makes for an all-around uplifting exploration—from both women and men—of the art of the tease. Tila Von Twirl, whose raised eyebrow has more stage presence than most people, headlined on the night I attended, turning heads with a flirty luau piece and the exotic grand finale, the "Dance of the Several Veils." Acts ranged from kitschy to traditional to avant-garde, with Po'Chop's "Coming of Christmas," set to Jeff Buckley's version of "Hallelujah," a definite standout; in addition to creative use of candle wax, it played with light and shadow in an emotionally charged, lyrical dance. —Marissa Oberlander
