The Depression Cult of the Child (Temple, Garland, et al) got a big boost from this 1936 Universal production, in which Deanna Durbin rocketed to stardom as a precocious teenager who reunites her separated parents. It's an efficient, entertaining atrocity, directed by Henry Koster and costarring Ray Milland, Binnie Barnes, and Nan Grey.
