On March 24, 1998, 11-year-old Andrew Golden and 13-year-old Mitchell Johnson set up a sniper position outside Westside Middle School, near Jonesboro, Arkansas. One of them pulled a fire alarm, and when people came out of the building, the boys started shooting, killing four girls and a teacher. New Colony ensemble member Mary Hollis Inboden survived what came to be known as Jonesboro--a glib designation that doesn't sit well with her. She stars as herself in this new play by fellow company member Evan Linder, a study of Inboden's struggle to find her way back into her hometown community after having severed ties with it. The testimony that fuels the piece is compelling but presented with too wide a focus. In attempting to provide context, Linder loses opportunities for resonance. --Dan Jakes
