Ed Helms, Bradley Cooper, and Zach Galifianakis return as bachelor-party boys prone to disaster, but director Todd Phillips understands that the real star of The Hangover was its cagey story structure, which he carefully copies for this sequel. This time geeky dentist Stu (Helms) is engaged to marry an elegant young Thai woman in her native land, and the desperate opening phone call from worldly Phil (Cooper) back to the wedding party comes not from Vegas but from Bangkok, where he, Stu, and the demented Alan (Galifianakis) have woken from an epic drunk to find the bride's teenage brother missing. Again the movie turns into a dense memory play, as the heroes track down the brother and reassemble what happened the night before; and again the story loops back around to the opening phone call and then to the climax. It's still fun to watch, but the first one was better. With Ken Jeong, Mike Tyson, and Paul Giamatti.
Sorry there are no upcoming showtimes for The Hangover Part II
