Upscale gastropub across the street from Millennium Park.

Our Review

Across the street from Millennium Park, the Gage draws swarms of tourists and locals alike. But if you can tolerate the noise, you'll find some superb dishes and between-meal bites. The seasonal menu has surprising breadth without seeming scattershot, and often includes some unusual offerings like rabbit salad and roast saddle of elk. Save room for dessert: you'll find treats like sticky toffee pudding given some sophisticated twists.

Bar Details

Across the street from Millennium Park, the Gage draws swarms of tourists and suits alike, and the restored ceiling and decorative tile only amplify the din. The extensive drinks list features specialty and vintage cocktails like the Champagne Charlie (champagne and Grand Marnier with a sugar cube soaked in blood orange bitters). —Rob Christopher
