Disney and Walden Media adapt another of C.S. Lewis's classic fantasy novels, though this fusty sequel lacks the narrative complexity of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005) and squanders both its first-rate computer graphics and its sturdy international cast. The four Pevensie children (William Moseley, Anna Popplewell, Skandar Keynes, Georgie Henley) return to the magical realm of Narnia, where an evil lord (Sergio Castellitto in a glowering, one-note performance) covets the throne of his nephew, Caspian (Ben Barnes). Tilda Swinton returns for a brief cameo as the White Witch, Peter Dinklage has a comparably small role, and under Andrew Adamson's middling direction, most of the battle scenes are pedestrian. PG, 144 min.
