The Bridge to Darrow

When: Wed., March 13, 10 a.m. 2013
Clarence Darrow, attorney to Leopold and Loeb and the Scopes "monkey" trial's John T. Scopes, made a bet that if there were a way to communicate from the afterlife, his ghost would return to a bridge in Jackson Park that's named after him. No one's holding their breath for the famously agnostic attorney's miraculous return, but his life—and the 75th anniversary of his death—will be celebrated with The Bridge to Darrow. The day begins with a short ceremony at Darrow Bridge, behind the Museum of Science and Industry, and continues with lectures and discussions on causes championed by the legal pioneer. 10 AM in Jackson Park, afterward in the Museum of Science and Industry, New Columbia Room, 57th and Lakeshore, darrowbridge.orgF
