If there's a secret, director Joseph Losey isn't letting the audience in on it. This murky 1968 tale of two hysterics (Elizabeth Taylor and Mia Farrow) who bind together as mother and daughter embody Losey's worst tendencies as a filmmaker: the movie is cold without being chilling, confusing without being challenging. With Robert Mitchum as the male principle, Peggy Ashcroft, and Pamela Brown.
Director: Joseph Losey
Producer: John Heyman and Norman Priggen
Cast: Elizabeth Taylor, Mia Farrow, Robert Mitchum, Peggy Ashcroft, Pamela Brown, Michael Strong and Robert Douglas
