As befits a play set in a crowded little collectibles shop, Joseph Zettelmaier's two-hander, receiving its world premiere here, packs a lot into its too-short two hours of stage time: romance, comedy, suspense, even a little social commentary about life in late-capitalist America. Zettelmaier's tale concerns a social misfit whose safe little world of childhood nostalgia is rocked to the core when he becomes entangled with a woman who has everything he could desire—including a trunkful of rare sports memorabilia. There isn't a false note in this production, flawlessly directed by Alison Vesely and starring two actors, Tyler Rich and Melanie Keller, who have such great chemistry together you would be forgiven for thinking the play was written for them. —Jack Helbig
