If you liked Richard Lester's
The Three (and
Four)
Musketeers, you'll like this, mainly because it's the same movie. Malcolm McDowell is Harry Flashman, a captain in Queen Victoria's army, also a liar, coward, thief, and all-around sonofabitch. The period has been advanced a couple of centuries, but the same subtle detailing and unsubtle slapstick that made
The Three Musketeers so much fun are here in full force. With Oliver Reed, Alan Bates, Florinda Bolkan, and Britt Ekland.
