Bar Details

Furnished with a bunch of mismatched, beat-up sofas straight out of 1989 and an old kitchen table set (complete with rolling chairs), Rose’s is the neighborhood tavern that could easily double as your grandmother’s basement. Cold, cheap Old Style on tap, a jukebox crammed with slightly out-of-date hits, never-ending bowls of pretzels, and a couple of old non-flat-screen TVs make for an excellent night out. Rose’s is the kind of place where, after enjoying a couple of drinks, you’re not the slightest bit taken aback to discover that there’s only one unisex bathroom—and it’s also the bathroom the mop and bucket are stored in. —Luca Cimarusti
