The cubist jumble of flickering televisions and furniture onstage is the first sign: Something arty is about to happen. And so it does, as Dog & Pony Theatre gives Sheila Callaghan's 2010 play a treatment that, a decade or so ago, might've been called postmodern. I'll stick to calling it skillful, intriguing, and morbidly funny. Shock artist Trevor is working on her latest installation piece--which may or may not involve a bioweapon--under the surveillance of an increasingly unhinged FBI agent. There are minor questions of absent stakes and unclear motivations in Callaghan's script, but Devon De Mayo's tremendous cast and provocative staging cancel them out. --Keith Griffith
