Sigourney Weaver and Cillian Murphy are academics who specialize in exposing fraudulent psychics, and Robert De Niro is the legendary spoon-bender in dark glasses who comes out of retirement to challenge them. I haven't seen Buried, the much-praised debut film by writer-director Rodrigo Cortes, in which a U.S. citizen in Iraq is attacked by insurgents and buried alive. Here, Cortes is reaching for the deep intrigue and philosophical inquiry of Christopher Nolan’s The Prestige or Neil Burger's The Illusionist (both 2006). The stars are solid, and the supporting cast includes Toby Jones and Elizabeth Olsen (Martha Marcy May Marlene); unfortunately the talky scenes and murky plotting prevent Cortes from building up any narrative momentum.
Sorry there are no upcoming showtimes for Red Lights
