Jennifer Aniston traipses through a story by Arleen Sorkin, Paul Slansky, and director Glenn Gordon Caron about a woman whose careerist ambitions and infatuation with an emotionally unavailable colleague (Kevin Bacon) are called into question by a man she meets at a friend's wedding. Nick (Jay Mohr) is so wonderful he actually saves a child in danger, but Kate (Aniston) prefers bad boys and doesn't immediately appreciate his most truly heroic deed: told she's the bride's “single” friend, Nick says he's surprised to learn the bride has only one friend. Olympia Dukakis and Illeana Douglas come off poorly in silly supporting roles that make Aniston seem to have screen presence by default. Her character's habit of compulsively adjusting her bodice ensures our attention has the proper focus.

Sorry there are no showtimes for Picture Perfect on Saturday, November 21.
