Pixar's The Incredibles (2004) initiated a wave of children's movies and TV shows about decidedly postsuper superheros (Zoom, Hancock, and most recently ABC’s No Ordinary Family); now the Dreamworks animation team piles on with this handsome and generally amusing adventure. Will Ferrell supplies the voice of the title character, an emotionally wounded supervillain with a prominent blue head; Brad Pitt is Metro Man, a vain superhero with a prominent jaw; and Tina Fey is the common object of their affections, a plucky reporter with prominent—so anyway, these two nemeses tear up the town of Metro City, their rivalry complicated by a superhero wannabe (given voice by Jonah Hill) who wavers between good and evil.
