This sequel to Meet the Parents ran into a few bumps with the MPAA because of its title, though given the gleeful ethnic humor, a more apt one would have been “Meet the Jews.” In the first movie, male nurse Ben Stiller goes home with his WASP girlfriend to meet her blond mother (Blythe Danner) and fearsome father (Robert De Niro), a retired CIA operative. This time the four pile into De Niro's gigantic RV, which looks like a SWAT truck, and head for Florida to visit Stiller's lefty parents (Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand). The movie gets off to a weak start, but the jokes get progressively more bent—for a PG-13 rating, anyway—once the battle is joined between De Niro and Streisand, a Yiddish-flaunting sex therapist for seniors. The three icons don't act so much as throw their personae around, though the script is warped enough to include a dog humping an Einstein puppet. Jay Roach directed. 114 min.
Sorry there are no upcoming showtimes for Meet the Fockers
