Bar Details

In August of 2010 arts raconteur Ed Marszewski transformed his mother's packaged-goods bar into one of the city's premier watering holes for international craft beers and whiskeys. The bar offers more than 450 brews in bottles and on tap, along with over a hundred ryes, bourbons, and single-malt scotches. An impressive selection of craft cocktails—featuring names like the Hornswagglers High Tea and the Corpse Reviver—is complemented by a handful of seasonal offerings, and there are nightly specials. Marszewski's mother, Maria, is usually working the front room, which still sells packaged goods, albeit of a higher quality.—Peter Margasak
