The mother and son behind Letizia's and Enoteca Roma have opened a third cafe in Logan Square, this one featuring a regional Italian dinner and wine bar.

Our Review

Already tending to Letizia's Natural Bakery and the neighboring Enoteca Roma Ristorante in Wicker Park, Italian-born Letizia Sorano and her son, Fabio, expand their mini-empire with Logan Square's Letizia's Fiore. Nicely nestled just south of Logan Boulevard on California, the bakery and coffee shop component offers an array of natural muffins, cookies, doughnuts, and brownies, all void of artificial ingredients and hydrogenated oils. My friends and I were impressed with the moist, savory pumpkin and apple yogurt muffins we sampled, but found massive Italian-style doughnuts, well, too doughy. There's also a full espresso bar with small breakfast and lunch menus. Piadina, a flatbread sandwich from Romagna, make an appearance on both menus, and is a good bet for a quick bite for around five bucks (I had the roasted tomato, basil pesto, and smoked mozzarella). More recently a dinner menu was introduced, featuring house-made pastas and entrees from the wood-burning oven. The beverage list features all-Italian wines and beers, including 40 bottles (actually 60) of wine under $40.
