"Baseball and Judaism have a lot in common; they both deal with optimism and failure," a rabbi reflects near the beginning of this 2010 documentary, and that's about the level of insight you can expect from its generic and sentimental history. Still, this contains enough candid interview footage with legendary athletes (including Sandy Koufax, Hank Greenberg, and Al Rosen) to be occasionally informative. Peter Miller directed, and Dustin Hoffman narrates.
