Three young men who fled Sudan's bloody civil war and have lived much of their lives in a dire UN camp are relocated to the promised land of American strip malls, tract homes, and fast-food jobs. This moving documentary by Christopher Quinn vividly contrasts the material hunger of the third world (on the plane trip over the men devour the condiments included with their airline meal) and the spiritual starvation of the first world (after a year or so in the U.S. they begin turning a deaf ear to their old friends' endless pleas for money). The message, unspoken but inescapable, is that a little sharing might feed wealthy and poor alike. PG, 86 min.
