The Bloomingdale Line was once an important artery in the network of railroads that hauled freight across America; now there are plans to convert the old railway into an elevated linear park. Terry Banich of Forgotten Chicago presents a lecture on the Bloomingdale Line and its role in Chicago industrial history, in conjunction with a photo exhibit by David Schalliol.—Sharon Lurye
