John Philip Law plays a farmer hunting down the bandits who killed his family when he was a boy; Lee Van Cleef is the mysterious gunman who offers his help. Apart from some psychedelic flashback sequences, this 1967 spaghetti western is highly familiar stuff, unlikely to interest anyone beyond fans of the genre. If you see it, though, see it in a theater—the most common DVD release is a washed-out pan-and-scan transfer that deprives the movie of whatever visual pleasure it has to offer. Giulio Petroni directed.
