Raters are almost embarrassed to admit they like this national chain of nouvelle pizza palaces. They're loud, crowded, and formulaic, but the formula works for many. Pizzas tend toward the novel. You can get pepperoni if you want, but more popular toppings include the "tostada" -- imagine a plate of nachos wedded to a pizza crust -- and the "Thai chicken," featuring bits of chicken breast marinated in peanut sauce plus sprouts, cilantro, and other, you know, "Thai" veggies. In addition to pizza, the menu offers a variety of salads (in whole and half sizes), sandwiches, and pastas.
