Tiny River North kitchen popular for lunchtime takeout.

Our Review

This quaint River North sandwich shop has limited seating and fills up quickly, so it's best for takeout. Gallery workers regularly stop in for fresh, reasonably priced sandwiches that range from simple tuna or turkey to grilled Mediterranean spiced chicken. Sides like coleslaw, potato salad, and tabbouleh are homemade, as are the giant oatmeal, chocolate chip, and double-chocolate pecan cookies. The vegetarian sandwich—pita bread stuffed to the hilt with tomato, cucumber, sprouts, and green pepper and drizzled with a tahini sauce—is always fresh and crunchy.
