Up the street from the flashier Leadway is this tiny shot-and-a-beer dive, notable only for nightly beer specials (a featured $2.50 domestic bottle each weeknight; 5-for-$12 buckets on Sundays) and the fake ivy that, for better or worse, adorns the back bar and the interior windows.
A block north of the arty Leadway you'll find this small, rudimentary sports bar, with a TouchTunes jukebox and a grill, partly visible from the main room, that serves up hamburgers and other bar eats. The liquor selection is average for a neighborhood place, the decor summed up by a large framed print of Gottfried Helnwein's Presley-Monroe-Bogart-Dean painting Boulevard of Broken Dreams. —J.R.
