Bamboo Garden's northern Chinese dishes are "What are they thinking?" size: too much for one human to consume at a blow without rupturing something. One night three young men shared an entree and a couple of appetizers for dinner. And while it's not a place to go alone, it's hard to imagine organizing a group outing, as the food's just OK; Szechuan beef was more sweet than spicy, though it had a good amount of garlic, and it didn't reheat well. The take-out menu offers smaller servings, but Lakeview's already got a lot of eat-at-home options.
