Bard & Fool Theater Group debuts with a crisp rendition of David Ives's 1994 work—a suite of six clever comic vignettes demonstrating the shortcomings and potential of verbal communication. In one piece, a woman with a stutter falls in love with a con man pretending to teach her a fake universal language called "Unamunda"; in another, three chimps hammer away at keyboards to prove their master's theory that they'll eventually produce Hamlet. As the show's title implies, Ives's frisky wordplay relies on perfectly timed performances. Under Doug Albers's direction, five young actors rise admirably to the challenge. —Albert Williams
