<![CDATA[Great to see the little guy get an olive branch. The Lincoln Park location was greatly missed on my return "home" after ten years in L.A." - its a goddamn Starbucks now, right? And, Peter, though I've admired your writing for years, I now realize I've probably seen you a gazillion times in the store...I frequented the place almost daily from 90-93. Anyhoo, great to see dr. Wax still alive and kicking.

<![CDATA[Dan--good point. I was remiss to let it seem like Hyde Park Records is deficient. It's a great newcomer in the Permanent Records vein.

I hope Dr. Wax sticks around, b/c I just moved back to the neighborhood and this time I have a turntable.

<![CDATA[Not that it would be good to lose Dr. Wax, but Hyde Park Records in the former 2nd Hand Tunes spot on 53rd is a great record store in the area that is doing a great job. And yes, I believe that Border's is also closing eventually, they're looking for someone to sublease the building apparently.
