<![CDATA[Jay was hired to push buttons and create debate. What he became was a jealous, vile, hateful P.O.S. It became obvious over the years that the man never played a sport and was probably the kid in school who was picked last - for a REASON!!

<![CDATA["The Wettest Blanket" is no more, for now. His voice will resurface at some point somewhere but never here, not in this city. Our papers are suffering, yes, but people like Jay Mariotti are one of the things wrong with modern newspaper writers, writers who only design their columns to cause problems and issues over things that are non-issues, rather than write about actual problems and issues. People liked to get riled up but it is better when it is actually about something. You watch shows like Around The Horn, a perfect example of everything that is wrong with everything involving sports media. It is a meaningless pointless show. If we sent the tape to an alien nation, they would send it back, saying that it was blank, that there was nothing on it but sceams, not screams of death or joy, but screams of nothing. That is where Jay Mariotti will live, for now.

<![CDATA[Mariotti was a vile and loathsome creature who stole his material regularly and was so afraid of the sports subjects he vilified that he would not set foot in a Chicago lockerroom. This is like lancing a boil.

<![CDATA[What a great day for Chicago. Jay was a despicable person who used his column for petty vendettas. He hated most athletes other than a small few that he idealized to the point of being creepy.
