<![CDATA[err... that should read "Chicago IS a green business LEADER"... although it wouldn't hurt if Chicago infrastructure itself was green. It being a business is another debate.

<![CDATA[While I can't disagree with Moneyman that many developers have been been given a free pass in many neighborhoods, there are MANY folks working on our behalf to make sure Chicago IS a green business. Flores has been out front on these issues, as have others, including several developers. It would be better for all of us to seek out and support the folks doing the real work than to do nothing out of cynicism. That tends path tends to lead towards self-fulfilling prophecies. I think the last 8 years of anti-government governing on the federal level is a perfect example of what happens when the public disengages from the political discourse.

<![CDATA[Now why didn't they think of that before the development boom they all benefitted from? Oh, that would have been too harsh on all those developers to actually build something that would not fall apart in five years or less.

if there is money to be found these aldermen like Flores can find it.

      <![CDATA[What does 'green' mean?

To daley and his posse, it means MONEY, lots and lots of the citizen's MONEY, plucked from our pockets via our city, county and state governments' power to TAX and SPEND.

The ONLY standards that concern the 'combine' are ones that ensure their own, personal enrichment.

'By hook or by crook', it's the daley way.

    You can bank on it.
