<![CDATA[whether it impacts "the view" would seem to be largely a concern for people living in luxurious highrises west of Michigan Ave.

forever free and open would imply that yer average working yokels are able to go and have fun in the park without having to pay an admission cost.

It has nothing to do with the Museum, specifically, it has to do with preserving open space.

A Museum charging admission is not open space, no matter how wonderful the exhibits, programming, etc.

<![CDATA[Regardless of what opinion one may have regarding the proposed relocation of the Chicago Children's Museum, it is unfortunate that some people are attempting to discredit the educational value of this informal learning institution, to build their case against the move. This is the same perspective that has led to the dramatic loss of physical education, art education, music education, and recess in our schools.

<![CDATA[Pristene has stated all my sentiments about the park I enjoy many times a week. Too bad they were so presumptuous, they do not have an alternative site or plan already in place. I enjoyed the presentation made by Richard Ward...insightful

<![CDATA[So what is there about "open, free and clear" which makes this busy children's activity center acceptable in Grant Park. If it is approved, the park where the large building is located will not be open. The "museum" certainly will not be free. And the site will be anything but clear. So much for Montgomery Ward's dream. Further, if this is so good, ask Ms. Wille how she feels about Chicago's 39 other museums locating there also.
Instead of destroying the park by increment, wy not just do it all at once.
