<![CDATA[Which raises for me the real question out of all this: Who was supervising these people? Who, due to incompetence or something more malign, let this potentially dangerous and totally lame third-rate corruption go on?

the mayoral appointee is responsible, but he got a buyout and went to the airport job. What's so hard to figure out?

      <![CDATA[REGISTER TO VOTE

    VOTE IN EVERY ELECTION

HAVE NO DOUBT, VOTE INCUMBENTS OUT

Before every election, compile a list of the Incumbents seeking reelection, from every branch of government, Executive, Legislative and Judicial, and for every contested office, be it city, county, state or federal.

Bring this list with you when you go to vote.

    In Primary Elections:

Vote in the Primary of the political party of your choice, preferably that party which has the most Incumbents seeking their party's nomination to be that party's candidate in the General Election.

The goal is to deny Incumbents reelection in the General election, so, if the Incumbent fails to win their party's Primary Election, that Incumbent will not be that party's candidate in the General Election.

If the Incumbent has only 1 challenger, vote for that challenger.

If the Incumbent has 2 or more challengers, then, to maximize the votes for a single challenger, vote according to ballot name position, following these two, simple rules of thumb:

    1. If the Incumbent's name is listed FIRST, vote for the Challenger whose name is listed LAST

    or

If the Incumbent's name is NOT listed first, vote for the Challenger whose name IS LISTED FIRST.

Denying the Incumbents their party's nomination to run in the General election will ensure that those Incumbents will now be Ex-Incumbents.

In the General Election, if given the opportunity, vote for any candidate who is NOT a member of the Democratic or Republican party.

Breaking the stranglehold these two party's have on our governments is the only means of returning democracy to Our Democracy, Of the
People, By the People and For the People.

Anything less is, and has been, proven to be futile.

HAVE NO DOUBT, VOTE INCUMBENTS OUT

<![CDATA[Its bigger than Inspector its involves judges, MARA GEORGE AND HER CORPORATION COUNSEL OFFICE. Mayer & Plat Former Building Comissioner Mary lowry Richardson, Carpenters Union #13,The Building Department is larger than the Zoning Dept. Zoning Broke off from Building Dept decades ago, to promote a power sharing arrangement among theives. Banks controls Zoning ,but he also has a lot of power in the Department of Buildings. Bank's ward organization has many members in both Zoning & Buildings. His Ward Secretary Ralph puluso, was once the Director of Conservation,in the Building Dept before he resigned. The Housing court lawyers and judges are also involved and tainted.

<![CDATA[This should do well for the IG when he wants a raise next year.
Will they keep uncovering the corrupt schemes in the zoning department that goes all the way to the state house and back, to the county board and back, to the Govs office and back and end at city hall. The money must be great to commit so many illegal acts but the small fish aren't the ones benefitting. The amount of dollars you get from zoning changes is huge, the extra bonus for developers goes back to somebody. Who are the somebodies? not the small fries at the input desk for sure. Who are the developers lawyers?

<![CDATA[FEDERAL AGENT RAID DALEY'S BUILDING DEPARTMENT: At least 30 people will be arrested, for bribery and corrupt business practices. For years Whistle Blowers: PATRICK MCDONOUGH,CHARLES WALKER, VICTOR CROWN, MICHAEL MCGANN have exposed and alerted Federal Agents, and the public,to this vicious Criminal Enterprise, called the "Building Department" Finally their efforts are bearing fruit. Illegal hirings and promotions, along with crooked inspections, and permit approvals are the norm. Its no wonder why the Citizens are at risk, and have died, due to this Criminal Organization. The clout list, with its 5000 names, contain many Building Department employees. Aalong with their clout. Daley's relatives are well represented along with names like Brian Mcginnis,Christopher Kozicki and others, along with 11th and 19th ward residents. One of the most incompetent people helping to cover up corruption is Scott Loeff(Assistant Commissioner:clout: Ald Bernard Stone) Scott was over heard threatening to fire an Inspector ,if he talked to Federal Agents. He eventually did have the Inspector fired, unfotunately the Inspector remained silent. Its no wonder why Chicaoans have witnessed deaths in Lincoln Park(13) E2 Night club(21)69 .w.Washington(6) and Tiara Woods. Another culprit is Deputy Commissioner Attorney Dennis, his job is to try to make illegal acts, legal. There should be an outside audit of the Department and all of its Annual and Permit inspections. Daley ,Bernard Stone, Ray Suarez,Lawyers,Developers, selected Contractors, have long resisted attempts to align Chicago's inspectional practices with National standards. The Feds need to do a R.I.C.O indictment on Daley and officials in the Building Department. Don't just focus on the low hanging fruit. The Building Department should be placed on Federal receivership, or appoint a monitor for 3 years, to protect the public.

There was a post to explain why he was forced to resign, yet the "moderator" erased it. But lets other libelous statements stay on the board.

<![CDATA[What qualifications do the higher have. The city Building Department is run by lawyers. Daley appoint people to run things they have no knowledge of. Zoning,Buildings,Dcap are nothling but window dressing created to satisfy,State and insurance requirements, and serve the Mayor Aldermen, and Mob. The building Department stays out of way of Major Development. There are only 10 New Construction inspectors,to check all new developments. If Chicago's Building code adheres to National standards, development would be less profitable.

<![CDATA[I worked in City Hall for two years (left last year). In my opinion, Zoning and Buildings and DCAP were unbelievably poorly run; spending time in Zoning it never even seemed like there even WAS a supervisor, let alone a competent one. I saw, day after day, some of the worst customer service and some of the most uncaring, un-empathetic public service I can imagine. All three departments - but especially Zoning - routinely spent months on a case, only to make a seemingly arbitrary decision. I don't blame Zoning Administrator Patty Scudiero - though she certainly should have the courage to hold her "employees" accountable - I blame those under her and the system of patronage that allowed them to get hired and that allows them to continue holding the public and the laws hostage.

That said, there are BAD departments and there are GOOD departments - there are thousands of dedicated and clean city employees serving the public everyday. The continued and detrimental corruption of the few bad departments shouldn't taint the perception of other well-run and relatively efficient departments.
