      <![CDATA[great accompanying graphic, J.R.--too bad i can't stand the typeface ...
    
    incidentally, and maybe strangely, helvetica (the font) seems to work best in its country of origin: all the shots in zurich are crisp, clean, immaculately limned, the colors poster bright and vivid ... not always true elsewhere, where critics' complaints about the typographic blahs can seem fully justified
