<![CDATA[I think it is sad to see this new guy crying about how Black and Radler took all the money from the paper. He must have read the Crookshank/Cooke cry poor playbook. When will the bigwigs at the ST accept responsibility for their own lame and ineffective leadership?

<![CDATA[Cooke isn't interested in fairness, or else he'd just lower the layoff number by two to make these exemptions a non-issue. You think he's losing sleep over this? Outside of his cronies, these aren't real people to him. They're just numbers on a list.

<![CDATA[If Cooke just wants to hire his friends, you can't stop him. But it would have seemed a little more fair to first let Steckles get laid off, so another person didn't have to be fired in his place, then hire him back immediately as a manager.

<![CDATA[I'm sure they are taking this to the Illinois Labor Relations Board or the National Labor Relations Board. My guess would be the latter, but I'm not sure. Keep us informed on how the grievances and possible unfair labor practice charges go.
