"unbelievably offensive" to whom? If we believe the evidence that the Murray students themselves were not upset, then it appears that those "unbelievably offended" boil down to the principal (who appears to have an irrational vendetta) and certain armchair commentators who have not devoted their lives to teaching kids like these every day, defusing their fights, trying to talk some sense into them after establishing a rapport, hoping to give them structure and perspective, yet who have the audacity to suggest that Brown is a fool because the only people with "credibility" to talk to African-Americans about the N-word, ever, are African-Americans.

Of course it is an exaggeration to say that nobody talks about these things.

The article never mentions Principal Greg Mason is black, a striking omission in an article about race. It's telling as Borgia spends many paragraphs establishing Brown's good character before telling what he did.
