Perhaps the producers couldn't get clearance for the music that was the subject of their film? It does seem to be quite an omission not to include the music-in-question in a music documentary.

      @ Giancarlo Grande

While I've not always been a big fan of Mr. Margasak's writing, I've more than occasionally admired his taste. Thus I took his review of this movie with an open mind, and apprehensively looked forward to seeing it [while also taking into account the comment above about the lack of women in the film, which seems to be - at the very least - a criminally egregious oversight].

      Dear Mr. Margasak,
I've read your article and I am shocked by your superficial judgment, because it is not sustained by any scientific argumentation.
In my opinion, the act of criticism is thought to analyze and show the complexity of a piece and reveal it to the public.
Criticism is not judgment.
It can't be reduced to a childish whim.
It can't be diminished to: "I like it/I don't like it".
Everybody can do this from their home, or in the bar down the street, but not in a public newspaper. And a prestigious one like the Reader!
The movies I've produced can have negative criticism: I am more stimulated by a negative analysis than by an acritical and banal praise.
