      <![CDATA[I believe the "A" in BAT originally stood for, and should stand for, "accountability," the idea being that spring baseball prognostications are so easily made because they are so easily forgotten by the time the scores are settled. The BAT reminds us of what the sportswriters would like us to forget, namely the "informed" predictions they made when the long season started.
