The WPA was my inspiration. Your concerns are valid, but I think cleaner neighborhoods would become safer neighborhoods, which could attract economic development.

CPS' formula for utilization is evidence that class sizes will increase. The former maximum class size became the optimum class size in the formula: the old maximum plus 20% is the new maximum.

Again, I think CPS has made it clear that class sizes are not going to increase as a result of this. This is about consolidating schools to save overhead costs, not consolidating classes.

My reservations are twofold: first, it is absolutely make-work and if perceived as such might be looked down upon (making it hard for people to accept these jobs).

It's not "funny," it's an integral part of the story; the March 2012 FOIA request sought documents regarding how the tiers were formulated. Then the request was stonewalled.

So how does a personal attack on Ben, made with no proof, have any bearing on this story at all?
