      <![CDATA[The movie had some good performances and genuinely funny moments, but ultimately perished beneath poor direction. It would have been much better off had any attempt to construct a coherent plot or believable characters been completely abandoned, and the surrealistic absurdity that at times made it watchable and enjoyable been embraced instead.
