Re: “Tseng Kwong Chi, downtown New York’s photographic ambassador

Hey, person who works at the New York Times. Seems pretty coherent to me: In the image Tseng's standing below Mount Rushmore dressed in a Mao suit, as is the case in the majority of his photographs. But Tseng is a tiny figure in comparison to Mount Rushmore, a monument built on land recently taken from Native Americans.

You're right, words do have meaning—it's too bad you don't seem to understand them.

Re: “Quentin Tarantino is still out of ideas

Hey ThinkDeeper, thank you for your spirited and thoughtful response. For the sake of clarity, a line got cut in the editing process that I should mention: I don't disagree with Tarantino's general statement about police brutality, but I think his response illustrates his reactionary and sometimes even inarticulate thinking. This carries over to Hateful Eight and his past couple films, which assert ahistorical scenarios without considering their philosophical or theoretical implications/ramifications, which with all due respect you are straining to ignore for the sake of justifying your enjoyment for Hateful Eight, Inglourious Basterds, and Django Unchained. That being said, even though I disagree, I appreciate this rebuttal.
